In a New York Times article,
the company revealed that Twitter now has 175 million registered users, which is up from 145 million users in September. That means the startup added around 30 million users in just under 2 months and since introducing the new Twitter.com design.
It also means that the rate of growth has accelerated since April, when Twitter said it had just over 100 million users. The service added 40 million in the 6 months between April and September, but 30 million in the 2 months between September and November.
