Pinterest Page Views Increase 2,000% From June To October 2011

Pinterest Page Views Grow 2,000% From June To October 2011Pinterest launched in early 2010, and has seen tremendous growth from just 40,000 monthly unique visitors in October 2010 to 3.2 million in October 2011.  According to TechCrunch, the site grew nearly 50% month over month from its inception (on average), and traffic nearly doubled in the month of November.  In addition, page views increased 2,000% between June and October 2011.

These numbers do not include traffic from mobile, which must be significant – Pinterest’s app has the #6 social spot in the iTunes store.

“Can Pinterest really sustain its wild 45% monthly growth? No,” says Steve Cheney at TechCrunch, but “we can be pretty sure Pinterest has hit a tipping point.” And brands including Lands’ End, Nordstrom, and Etsy are quickly establishing a presence on the highly visual, consumer-friendly network.
