Rick Bakas

Rick Bakas is the Director of Social Media Marketing at St. Supéry winery in Napa Valley and is a certified sommelier. In his role, he is responsible for creating and executing all the digital strategy for the Skalli Family wineries, including St. Supéry and sister wineries in France.

Rick is the author of Quick Bites: 75 Savory Tips for Social Media Success.

Previously, he worked at NIKE, Inc. in Beaverton, Oregon where he was responsible for creating and managing brands for different NIKE silos as well as professional teams.

He was one of the key members of the NFL’s Denver Broncos rebrand effort in 1997 and led the team that rebranded the University of Oregon in 1999. Other brand projects include NIKE Basketball: Battlegrounds, Florida State Seminoles, Portland Trailblazers, Dallas Mavericks, Georgetown Hoyas, New York Giants and the Portland State Vikings.

Rick combines his branding knowledge with his 25 years of technology experience to maximize the capabilities of brand building in social media.
