Jason Harty

For more than a decade Jason Harty has managed interactive, mobile and field marketing initiatives with brands such as Verizon Wireless, Subway Restaurants and NBC Universal.

More recently, Jason Harty was a Brand Manager for vitaminwater®, overseeing the brand’s product innovation and interactive marketing initiatives.  His efforts in social media specifically helped grow the vitaminwater brand’s Facebook fan base to over 1.1 million in less than a year (Feb. 2009 – Oct. 2010).  This helped the brand earn a Top 10 spot on Big Money’s list of “Brands that Best Engage Fans on Facebook” (Dec. 2009) and the #13 spot on Forbes list of “Best Social Media Campaigns Ever” for the vitaminwater Flavorcreator campaign (July 2010).

Currently, Jason is the Director of Field & Interactive Marketing at the Snack Factory’s Pretzel Crisps® brand.  In this role, Jason intersects his Field Marketing, Brand Management and Interactive background to help build awareness, recruit new consumers and nurture brand affinity nationwide.  His case studies and experiences have been referenced in the new book Listen First! Turning Social Media Conversations into Business Advantages, by Stephen D.
