Mark Ghuneim

Mark Ghuneim, who has spent 30 years innovating for some of the world’s best-known media brands, is often cited as a new media visionary because of his expertise in technology, social engagement and behavioral trending.

Mark is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of Wiredset, a real-time marketing agency for Fortune 500 companies, television networks, movie companies, publishers and emerging brands. He is also the CEO and founder of Trendrr, a platform for measuring business intelligence.

After nearly 20 years at Sony Music Entertainment, Mark left his position as Senior Vice President of Online Services to launch Wiredset. Recognizing clients’ need for real-time actionable data, he oversaw the development of Trendrr, a proprietary online service for tracking market intelligence and swarm behavior in categories such as social networks, search engines and video sites.

Because of his expertise in online data trends and marketing and consumer behavior, Mark is frequently asked to moderate panels at top industry gatherings and lecture at universities and corporate gatherings. The developer of hacked.net in the early days of the internet, Mark’s work on information security has been cited by the director of the FBI in addressing national infrastructure vulnerabilities. A longtime privacy advocate, Mark has worked with the the American Civil Liberties Union and New York Civil Liberties Union to address surveillance in public spaces.
