84% of email campaigns will include social media elements in 2010

A November survey of 300 marketers from email marketing firm Silverpop shows that 41% of email marketers are planning to boost spending in 2010 and an additional 47% are looking at making no cuts. Email marketers are increasingly looking to synch traditional messaging with other media, and 84% said campaigns will have a social media element, with 38% employing SMS.
