The fourth “IT Social Media Index,” a June survey of nearly 3,000 IT professionals by PJA Advertising+Marketing and Toolbox.com, found that 34.7% of IT execs believe vendors must have a presence in online communities. Social media consumption among IT professionals increased to 4.7 hours a week. Among IT executives who use Twitter, 62% said it is becoming more useful for sharing and finding content and expertise.
