What they did.
What Google did, telling China where to get off, marks a geopolitical epoch: I can’t think of another example of a commercial entity risking it’s commercial interests to stand against tyranny. History is rife with opposite cases. For that they are to be applauded.
How they did it.
Google’s lawyer, Mr. David Drummond, wrote a blog post. They could have put out a corporate press release, or brought suit in district court, or otherwise obfuscated and blunted the point. Instead, they chose a free public medium and and a personal, individual messenger. What better way to illustrate their arguments for freedom of information and personal liberty?
