A November 2009 Ruder Finn study of 500 U.S. adults who “use their mobile device to go online or to access the Internet” revealed that Americans are spending nearly three hours a day on their mobile devices. More people are using the mobile web to socialize–91%, compared to 79% of desktop users.
45% report posting comments on social networking sites, 43% are connecting with friends on social networking sites, 40% are sharing content with others and 38% are sharing photos.
