Twitter recently released its first “real” commercial, focusing on how quickly information about the August 23 earthquake in Washington, DC spread via tweets.
Much of the feedback has been less than stellar. AdWeek labels the spot “#Crappy,” and states that Twitter “really can shake things up, and could use some advertising to match.” MSNBC also thinks the creative falls short: “The tardiness of this topic seems counterproductive to the message of Twitter’s immediacy.”
Take the poll on our Facebook page and let us know your opinion. What is your take on Twitter’s first attempt at a real commercial?
- #Crappy
- #Awesome, or
- #Meh?
