25 Million LinkedIn Profile Pages Viewed Daily

25 Million LinkedIn Profile Pages Viewed DailyLinkedIn is revamping its profile pages, revealing new tools and options to users starting this past Tuesday.  CEO Jeff Weiner referred to this overhaul as “one of the biggest changes to a LinkedIn pillar product in the company’s history.”  Along with these updates – which include new photo, biography, editing and sharing options – came some statistics about the social networking platform:

  • LinkedIn adds 175,000 profiles per day
  • 25 million LinkedIn profile pages are viewed daily
  • LinkedIn has seen 3 billion people searches since September (and should hit 5 billion this year)

The new updates particularly encourage LinkedIn users to share content from the platform, reports AdWeek. Users can bolster their own profiles with “recommend sections” or use a new endorsement tool to endorse another user’s skills or expertise.  LinkedIn users can also now search through each other’s connections to find new contacts.

Has anyone experimented with these new features?  What do you think?
