31% of Top 100 Brands Are Using Tumblr
A recent study by Simply Measured found that 31% of the Interbrand Top 100 brands across the globe are using Tumblr.
The study looked at brand adoption of Tumblr, how brands use Tumblr to drive engagement with fans, overall trends, and how brands distribute their content across the platform.
What leads to brand success on Tumblr? According to the study, “longevity” is what sets Tumblr apart as a platform for brands. On Facebook and Twitter, engagement happens “almost immediately.” On Tumblr, engagement unfolds over time.
Here are a few of the highlights:
- on average, 29% of reblogs on Tumblr happen AFTER 30 days
- original content drives 89% of engagement for top brands on Tumblr
- photos account for 98% of engagement for top brands on Tumblr
