Amazon Is Most Popular Retailer on Pinterest In Terms of Content Shared
Retailers are putting out their best efforts on Pinterest for the 2013 holiday season. Out of the top ten retail sites, web content from Amazon is most shared on Pinterest, followed by Walmart and then Apple.
The numbers:
- Amazon.com generates an average of 16,360 pins (or shares) per week on Pinterest
- Walmart.com generates 5,778 (only 1/3 of Amazon’s average weekly pins)
- Apple.com gets 3,871
The study, by Searchmetrics, looked at the details for each of the top ten retailers on Pinterest. QVC.com had the most Pinterest followers (42,683), followed by Walmart.com with 33,337 followers. Some retailers set up holiday-themed boards; Walmart.com takes the cake in festive offerings on Pinterest with ten separate holiday boards.
