What percent of internet users engage in social networking in the U.S. — and how does that compare to other countries? Numbers released today from the Pew Research Center show that, out of a select group of countries, the U.S. ranks below Egypt, Russia and Turkey.
While 73% of U.S. internet users engage with social networking sites, that number is higher in Egypt (88% use social networks), Russia (86%) and Turkey (79%). Brazil is right on par with the U.S. – 73% of internet users also use social networks – while China lags well behind with just 48%.
