October 22 Conference Will Focus on the Role of Twitter in Business, Government and Non-Profit Organizations

NEW YORK, August 18, 2009 –  Modern Media today announced that the speaker lineup for TWTRCON DC 09 (twtrcon.com), which will take place October 22 at the Grand Hyatt Washington DC, will feature a keynote by Craigslist founder Craig Newmark, and a speaker lineup that includes social media experts Steve Rubel of Edelman Digital, Rohit Bhargava of Ogilvy, Laura Fitton of Pistachio Consulting, David Armano of Dachis Corporation and Twitter strategists for leading brands, government agencies and non-profits.

Organizations scheduled to present case studies about the use of Twitter in business include brands such as PepsiCo, Dunkin’ Brands, the NHL, H&R Block, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Intuit, USA Today, pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk, online retailer Chick Downtown, and public affairs consultant APCO Worldwide.
