Go Standby program update

We’ve received really positive feedback on our Go Standby program, which was designed for people who really want to attend and have something to contribute to TWTRCON, but may not have access to a corporate training budget.  We are overwhelmed by the quality of many of the applicants for the TWTRCON DC program, and by the passion that many express for Twitter and its potential value to their business.  We really wish that space and budgets would allow us to accept everyone who really wants to attend.

Tomorrow we will be notifying 21 applicants that they are being accepted under the Go Standby program.  Many of these Go Standby attendees are people who are working hard to convince their company that Twitter will deliver bottom-line results to their business, and are paying for a TWTRCON pass out of their own pocket in hopes of picking up the tips they need to build the case. Some are volunteers, start-ups, or teachers or people in professions without access to corporate budgets.

We are delighted to welcome this group to TWTRCON DC 09; we know they’ll be contributing a lot to the conversations on 10/22!

====================

For those of you who applied but are not being accepted at this point: thank you so much for your interest in participating in TWTRCON DC.  As we finalize the attendee list over the next two weeks, if we find that there is still some room available, you will be first in line to be notified of any additional opportunities to attend at reduced rates as we truly would like to fit many more of you in.  If you are not able to attend, we hope you’ll participate online at #TWTRCON.  Thank you.
