Twitter is revolutionizing how we work–as companies, as a society, as a government–by collapsing barriers, inverting the traditional hierarchical structure of many organizations and offering vastly increased opportunities for collaboration among formerly disconnected members of a community.
How are organizations–especially those that come from a traditional command-and-control culture, or from an industry where message discipline is mission-critical for security or legal reason–coping with the challenges to their traditional ways of doing business? How are they navigating the legal, regulatory and security issues associated with the real-time web?
Counter-intuitively, some of these highly structured organizations are, in fact, finding ways to harness the power of Twitter and other real-time business tools to help them achieve their goals or accomplish their mission even more effectively. In this session, David Armano from social business design advisory firm Dachis Group talks to social media and marketing executives from the Air Force, pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk, FEMA and electronics giant AMD about how they set policies, address legal and regulatory concerns and redefine their organization’s transformation.
Join panelists Chris Sukach from the Air Force Public Affairs Agency, John Shea of FEMA, Nigel Dessau of AMD and Ambre Morley, Novo Nordisk Inc. at TWTRCON DC.
