The TWTRCON NY Agenda

Today we posted our agenda for TWTRCON NY:  http://twtrcon.com/agenda/.  As you’ll see, it’ll be another jam-packed event–it seems like there’s never enough time to fit everything we’d like to include.

We build the TWTRCON agenda with three goals in mind:

1. To showcase some of the best examples of organizations who are using Twitter and the real time web to delight their customers, drive revenues or transform their business. At TWTRCON NY we will hear from Twitter for Business pioneers such as Comcast, JetBlue and Starbucks, from innovators who are pushing the boundaries of the real-time web, such as Domino’s Pizza and The Huffington Post.  We are beyond excited that Martha Stewart has agreed to join us and talk about what she’s learned about Twitter’s ability to connect her with her audience and deepen her brands.  NASA, Livestrong, AT&T, Dell, Newell Rubbermaid — TWTRCON NY speakers represent a cross-section of industries and business functions.

2. To deliver case studies from organizations who have experience and are able to share learnings, best practices and metrics. After our first event, TWTRCON SF 09, attendees told us they loved the content but wanted to hear more in-depth learnings.  So we added 20-minute case study presentations for our second event in DC, and we were blown away by how much information speakers were willing to share: best practices, pitfalls to avoid, and metrics, ROI and results.  We’re really looking forward to seeing more of these case studies in NY, which include presentations from Dell, TurboTax and Streambase.

3. To hear from technology companies about what’s new, and how emerging trends might affect how brands use the real-time web.  We think of TWTRCON as a business conference, not a tech or social media conference.  But we do want to know all about where tech and social media are going in the next year, so we can help our community figure out their business strategies.  And we’re thrilled that some of the leading tech influencers have agreed to join us in NY.

  • Our NY program includes what is sure to be a very important and talked-about session, featuring the CEO’s of the two leading location-based social networking services, Dennis Crowley of Foursquare and Josh Williams of Gowalla, and geo-data provider Simple Geo.  They will be joined by Brad Nelson of Starbucks, one of the earliest brands to leverage geo-social strategies to market to customers, and interviewed by Mashable Editor Adam Ostorow.  Seriously: we believe that location-based real-time data is going to create enormous opportunities for businesses of all kinds, and you won’t want to miss this panel.
  • We will also showcase a series of real-time business tools and applications so that attendees can get a sense of the types of tools that they can use to make corporate tweeting more efficient.  You’ll see 5-minute mini-sessions from TWTRCON exhibitors: just enough information to help you decide if you want to spend more time talking to them during a networking break or follow up later. We are also finalizing a panel, to be moderated by Laura Fitton, designed to give you an overview of trends and new developments to expect from the Twitter eco-system.
  • We are also very excited about our session with Google’s Dylan Casey.  Dylan is the Search Product Manager at Google, and we are very interested in hearing his take on how social media and real-time data is changing SEO, and  how Google plans to leverage its access to real-time status updates.

There’s lots more — Open Mike sessions, and this has already turned into a far longer blog post than intended.  Let us know what you think & what questions you want answered as we continue to finalize the program!
