Wealth management firm SEI surveyed 46 individuals with more than $5 million in investible assets, and found that 70% of high-net-worth individuals surveyed are users of Facebook and other social media sites, considerably more than the number of daily social media users among the general populace. According to an August, 2010 report from the Pew Research Center, 61% of Americans ages 18 and over have used a social networking site.
Of those surveyed that use social media, 50% said they use Facebook, 37% visit YouTube, just under 35% use LinkedIn.
