Smart Brief on Social Media has published an interview with Levi’s Director of Digital and Social Marketing Megan O’Connor, in which she discusses Levi’s success in integrating Facebook functionality into its online Friends Store.
The goal was to “create a customized social-shopping experience that will make buying jeans online more fun.” and helping shoppers “find popular styles and getting recommendation on fits from their friends.” O’Connor also talks about how the Facebook integration helps them to build trust and get feedback from customers that can impact future lines.
Some metrics? In a testament to the increasing power of Facebook on third-party site, over 60,000 Levi’s products have been “liked” on www.Levi.com, and the number of people who “like” the Levi’s brand on Facebook — up to 2 million in the past six months alone.
