35% Of UK Mobile Users Access Social Networks Via Mobile

New data from comScore measures the number of UK mobile users accessing social networks or blogs via their mobile device. In September 2011, 35% (or 17 million) of the total UK mobile audience accessed social networking sites or blogs via mobile.  The majority of these mobile social networkers – 57% – accessed social networks on a daily basis.

Daily social networking use via mobile rose an impressive 57% from September 2010, while use of social networks via mobile only once per month grew just 36%.  Using this data, comScore concludes: “the mobile platform is proving to be conducive to very frequent social networking use.”
