Motel 6 Launches Facebook, Pinterest Contest

Motel 6’s new Ultimate Bucket List Contest engages fans – on Facebook and Pinterest – with the opportunity to win a trip to one of three U.S. landmarks.

The contests runs through May 21st, and participants enter through the Motel 6 Facebook page, where they must ‘like’ Motel 6 to access the contest instructions.

Participants are then instructed to create a “Motel 6 Ultimate Bucket List Contest” board on Pinterest.  The board must include the contest image and one image from each participant’s favorite ‘Ultimate Bucket List’ destination, pinned with the #Motel6UBL hashtag and a brief description of why they should win a trip.

To complete their entry, participants are then directed to pin 3 more images that represent their ‘Ultimate Bucket List.’

Motel 6 Facebook, Pinterest Contest Entry Details

Each winner can choose a trip for two (valued at $6,000) to either southern California, Grand Canyon National Park, or Niagara Falls State Park.  Winners will serve as “correspondents on the road,” reports MediaPost, sharing their adventures via social media using two new tablets that are also part of each grand prize.

The Motel 6 Facebook page will announce the contest winners on June 7, and the trips will take place between June 24 and August 31.
